Body of missing Boonville mother found in lake

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (Sept. 16, 2014) –  The body of a missing Boonville mother was found in a lake Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, an independent sonar search and recovery group located a vehicle submerged in a lake at the intersection of Mt. Gilead and Yankeetown roads in rural Warrick.

Divers from the Indiana Conservation Office confirmed that it was the 2003 Nissan Xterra belonging to missing woman Kristy Kelley.

The vehicle was removed from the water, and Kelley’s body was found inside the vehicle.

A medical examination will be conducted on Wednesday morning at the Vanderburgh County Morgue.

Kelley had been missing since Aug. 15.
