BEST WEATHER OF THE YEAR?

(Sept. 24, 2014) – Are you enjoying this stretch of weather?  We promised you last week that it will arguably be the best spell of the season if not year to date.

Cool mornings – now that the nights are longer these numbers get chilly the deeper we go into September.  This morning was no exception. Temperatures were at 39° this morning at Crawfordsville, New Castle and Farmland this AM. It was 41° in Bloomington and Columbus.

Low humidity holds on – dry air cools fast and heats up quickly as well!  The air can warm over 30° from the early morning lows to the afternoon highs.  Wednesday afternoon temps were as much as 34° warmer from the AM low in Columbus.

WARMER DAYS

The air over time will modify, warm up and actually become a little more “dirty” (pollution levels will rise) with the lack of wind and rain.  Warmer afternoons are forecast through the work week and into the weekend.  It looks like 80° high temperatures are likely.

So if you enjoy this weather – more good news – no sign of it changing up until the middle of next week, the start of October.
