INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 30, 2014)—Cold case detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are requesting the public’s help in finding the people responsible for the 2010 murder of an Indianapolis man.

Charles Hanna was found dead in his home in the 3100 block of Walker Avenue on Oct. 7, 2010. Authorities said 27 guns and a Liberty American Eagle gun safe were stolen from his house. Because of the weight of the safe, police believe more than one person was involved in the incident.

Two of the stolen handguns have been recovered. Police believe the guns were the motive behind the burglary and murder.
