LAWRENCE, Ind. (Sept. 30, 2014)– An officer’s personal gun and police badge were stolen from his car early Tuesday morning.

At about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 7000 block of Courthouse Dr., an off-duty Fortville Police Officer had his personal car broken into.

The burglar stole the man’s police badge and his personal hand gun, a Sig Sauer P238. This gun was not issued by the police department nor used for department use.
