INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 8, 2014) – A two-vehicle crash damaged a third car on the near north side early Saturday morning, and police found a gun at the scene. Now they are looking for the drivers of those vehicles.

Police say a Chevy van and a Ford Focus were both driving erratically, headed northbound on Central Avenue near 32nd Street just after 3:30 a.m., when they somehow collided.

In the crash, the car hit a parked Mini Cooper and pushed it up the street, damaging the car’s front end.

Police aren’t sure how many people were in either vehicle, but everyone in the van and the car jumped out and ran. Police caught one person nearby, who had been in the van but they could not determine if he had been driving or was just a passenger, so he was questioned and released.

Police also found a handgun underneath the van. No word on who the gun may have been registered to.
