Putnam County, IND. (November 16, 2014) — A Putnam County hunter who went missing Saturday evening was found in a ravine early Sunday morning.

Indiana Conservation Officers and Putnam County Sheriff’s Officers responded to County Road 650 West near Clinton Falls.

Emergency crews started searching for John Rimmer of Largo, Florida in a wooded area Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Around 10:30 Sunday morning, Rimmer was found alive and well after he had fallen down a ravine and had to spend the night when he couldn’t get out.

A neighbor called 911 around 7 p.m. Saturday when Rimmer didn’t return from a deer hunt.

He was taken by ATV to a waiting ambulance, then to the Putnam County hospital to assess his condition.
