MONROE, La. (Nov. 21, 2014) – A Texas family’s dream vacation turned into tragedy when their SUV rolled over in Louisiana, killing five family members.
Michael and Trudi Hardman, both elementary school teachers, were on their way to Disney World with their children Wednesday when the SUV struck a median and rolled over, reports KDAF.
According to Louisiana State Police, the 16-year-old driver told police he fell asleep at the wheel and went off the road.
Of the eight people in the SUV, six of them were thrown out of the vehicle. The parents were pronounced dead along with children ages 4, 7 and 15.
Three of the children survived, including the 16-year-old driver.
