FRANKLIN (Dec. 17, 2014) – Police in Franklin are investigating after a robbery at a video store.

Franklin police were called to Family Video, 155 N. Morton St., around 11:55 p.m. Tuesday.

The store clerk said a man entered the store and demanded money from the register. He took some cash before leaving. The clerk was not hurt, and the man never displayed a weapon.

The clerk said the suspect was a heavyset black man in his 30s who was between 5’8” and 5’10” tall. He wore black pants and a bulky jacket. The clerk didn’t get a good look at his face because it was covered by the jacket’s collar and he had a hood pulled down near his eyes. The man smelled of alcohol, the woman told police.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Lt. Pete Ketchum at (317) 736-3670.
