Freezing drizzle creating slick roads for Wednesday morning commute

(Dec. 17, 2014) – Drivers should allow extra time for their Wednesday commute.

Freezing drizzle has created icy and slick conditions around the area, especially on bridges and overpasses.

There have been a number of crashes around the state. In Henry County, a stretch of Interstate 70 was closed near the Spiceland Exit after a crash involving semi trucks. The area has since reopened.

A bridge on the northwest side of Indianapolis was closed after a pickup truck lost control on an icy bridge around 3 a.m. It happened on Georgetown Road around 3 a.m.

Road crews are out treating the roads.
