Person struck by IPS school bus on near west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 18, 2014)– A person was struck by an Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) bus on the city’s near west side Thursday.

The accident occurred at West 10th Street and North Belmont Avenue around 4:15 p.m.

The bus serves James Garfield School. There were two kids on the bus, neither were injured in the accident.

State police are on the scene.

The bus driver was cited for failure to yield.
