Sunshine returns with arctic air on the move

(Dec. 29, 2014) - Skies are mainly clear this morning and temperatures are very cold.  As temperatures continue to fall before sunrise, some freezing fog is now developing.  Watch out for patchy ice on bridges and overpasses, especially north of 465.  Sunshine returns today and should be enjoyed at sunrise and beyond.  Here is your day planner:

Today will be a seasonal day, meaning average morning lows and average afternoon highs.  This will be the "warmest" of the work week.  Arctic air will be slowly building in tomorrow and for the rest of 2014 and early 2015.

The weather pattern remains fairly quiet in terms of lack of snow or rain. It should remain dry for most of us through New Year's Day!  Good travel weather for most of the Ohio Valley, too. Here's your extended forecast:
