SHERIDAN, Ind. (January 3, 2015) — Deputies are investigating after an early morning robbery near Sheridan.

They say a motorist driving along State Road 38 stopped to offer a ride to a person walking along the road in the rain. Once the walker was inside the car, the victim says he was immediately intimidated by the suspect and made to remove his wallet. The victim also told deputies that a dark-colored car was following behind as he drove the suspect to the area of 211th Street and James Road in Noblesville. The suspect then threatened the victim again, exited the car and got into the other car that was following behind.

The victim was not injured in the incident. Cash, a gift card and a debit card were taken in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’9″-6’0” tall, clad in a light blue jacket and dark pants.
