IFD fight flames at vacant home on near east side

Indianapolis, IND. (Jan. 3, 2015) — A vacant home under renovation burned early Saturday morning on the near east side.

Firefighters got the call to the double residence in the 100 block of South State Street, near Southeastern Avenue around 1:30 a.m. They were able to get the flames under control in about 20 minutes. No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
