Lawrence police need help finding bank robbery suspect

LAWRENCE, Ind. (January 3, 2014) — Lawrence police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank early Saturday morning.

It happened at the Old National Bank on Pendleton Pike just after the bank opened at 8AM. The man, armed with a handgun, demanded cash from the bank employee, which was handed over. He then left the bank on foot and was seen walking west, where he may have had a car waiting for him.

The man is described as a black male in his late 20’s, wearing Carhartt-style jacket and pants. He was also wearing a black head covering.
