INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 3, 2015) — Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard joined the community for the fourth annual Polar Bear Pedal on Saturday.

The event welcomes all ages to participate in a bike ride around the city in the rain.

Hundreds of bicyclists took to the streets today riding about 10 miles in Indianapolis to promote health and bike safety.

The event also helped serve the hungry in Central Indiana, as the event collected canned food items to help Gleaners Food Bank.

The Polar Bear Pedal attracts more than a thousand riders each year.
