INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 19, 2015) -- Several Indianapolis attractions are marking Martin Luther King, Jr., Day with a series of special events Monday.
At White River State Park, each attraction is offering free admission with a canned food donation for Gleaners Food Bank.
Each attraction at White River State Park will have family friendly activities as well as MLK-themed exhibit.
The NCAA Hall of Champions, for example, will feature a film based on the speech Robert F. Kennedy gave in Indianapolis the night King was shot and killed.
The Indiana State Museum will have a rare exhibit: copies of the Emancipation Proclamation and 13th Amendment signed by Pres. Abraham Lincoln.
Over the years, this one-day special event has helped raise more than 85 tons of food for Gleaners.
