One dead after semi goes off road, down embankment

(Jan. 28, 2015) – Indiana State Police said a Tennessee truck driver died Wednesday morning after his vehicle crashed and rolled over on I-70.

Robert Giltz, 46, Beth Page, Tenn., was going west on I-70 when the truck went off the right side of the road and down an embankment around 6 a.m. Wednesday. Police said there were no skid or evasive marks at the scene near milemarker 61.4. It was unclear why the truck went off the road.

The Morgan County Coroner’s Office pronounced Giltz dead at the scene. Westbound traffic was restricted to one lane while emergency personnel investigated the crash and cleared the wreckage.
