PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind.  (February 1, 2015) —  Four people were taken to the hospital after the SUV they were riding in rolled over at least three times.

Around noon on Sunday an Indiana State Trooper was working a crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the Cloverdale exit when he saw a Jeep leave the roadway and strike an embankment.

The SUV rolled at least three times before resting on its wheels.

The State Police Trooper radioed for help then ran to check on the passengers and performed first-aid.

An investigating found that the driver, identified as Devin Klein, 39 of Missouri lost control on an icy portion of the pavement, left the roadway on the north side and rolled over at least three times.

The three passengers, Thomas Rice, 70, Debra Rice, 65 and Kelly Rice, 37 all of Missouri were all alert and complaining of pain.

All passengers were taken to Putnam County Hospital and treated for their injuries.

Everyone in the vehicle except Debra Rice was wearing their seat belts.
