INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 20, 2015) – A manhole cover popped up and hit a car Friday night on the east side of Indianapolis.

At about 9:30 p.m. there was a report of a manhole cover blowing off and hitting a car at the intersection of N Sherman Dr and E Michigan St.

After police investigated the area, they now believe the car actually dislodged the manhole cover causing it to pop up, and it was not another manhole explosion.

This incident had many residents concerned after the two manhole cover explosions that happened this week.
