Police search for suspect who shot man on the far east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 10, 2015) – A man was shot in the upper chest / shoulder area on the far east side of Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.

The shooting occurred in the 10000 block of John Marshall Drive North right next to John Marshall Community High School around 1:45 p.m.

Neighbors said they heard two rounds of gunshots. They first heard around three shots, and then there was a brief break, and then seven to eight additional shots were fired possibly from a different gun.

The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
