Greenwood officers find missing 3-year-old boy

GREENWOOD, Ind. (May 11, 2015) –Greenwood officers located a three-year-old boy who was reported missing Monday after being last seen around 8:30 a.m. His dad was watching him, and he took a nap. When the dad woke up he couldn't find his son, and the back door was open.

He  was reported missing at 10:30 a.m.

The boy was discovered in a house one block away from his home around 3:30 p.m. He was unharmed and is now back with his parents.

The Greenwood Fire Department assisted police with their search. They swept the Sweetgrass subdivision, which is between East Stop 18 Road and East Worthsville Road on the southeast side of Greenwood. They also searched a retention pond in the area as is standard procedure.
