INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 2, 2015)– Don’t be surprised if you see a man walking with a goat around town!

Steven Wescott and his goat, Leeroy, made a stop in Indianapolis Tuesday to volunteer at Wheeler Mission Ministries.

man and a goat 4The pair is in the middle of a 3,800 mile journey on foot, visiting attractions from the Space Needle in Seattle to Times Square in New York City.

His goal is raise money for an orphanage his best friend runs in Kenya.

Wescott and Leeroy’s journey began three years ago. Wescott says he blames Leeroy for their slow pace.

“If the internet told me goats were slow, I probably would’ve taken a cheetah or something, a leopard, something fast.”

Last year, the duo was stuck in St. Louis for several weeks, after Leeroy was attacked by a dog and required medical attention.
