Street race causes 3 car accident

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 6, 2015) – Police took one person into custody after a street race puts one man in the hospital.

2 cars were racing westbound on 38th St. when one car bumped into the other. It caused one of the cars to cross over the median into oncoming traffic.

The car struck another vehicle head on.

EMS says the driver of the car struck suffered a compound leg fracture and was transported to Methodist in critical condition.

The driver of the car that crossed the median was not hurt in the accident.

The driver of the 3rd car was also uninjured and was arrested under suspicion of alcohol.

Police blocked off 38th St., just east of Knolton Rd., while they clean up.
