INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 26, 2015)– Citizens Energy Group wants to increase Hoosiers’ water rate.

The utility company filed a petition Friday with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. If approved, the average residential bill will increase by $6 a month beginning in early 2016.

The current average is about $30 a month.

Citizens is also asking for a new low-income residential rate that will give some low-income customers a 15 percent discount.
