GREENWOOD, Ind. (June 18, 2015) — A Greenwood restaurant with clean health reports earned the first-ever FOX59 “Dine 59 Approved” distinction.

General Manager Greg Welch, who runs City Barbeque on U.S. 31 in Greenwood, accepted the award and proudly displayed it at the front of the restaurant.

“Ever since the story, we’ve had a great response. We’ve had a lot of people come in that haven’t been in before and they’re really excited to try us out,” Welch said.

FOX59 featured the restaurant as part of a Dirty Dining segment this May. It received no critical violations from health inspectors multiple years in a row, providing a good example to other restaurants that didn’t fare so well.

“We’re really proud to be honored with this award and hope to see more folks come in,” Welch said.
