INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 2, 2015) — Shooting guard Monta Ellis agreed to terms with the Pacers on a four-year deal worth $44 million, according to our partners at the IndyStar.

The 29-year old is able to opt-out after the third year.

Ellis made the decision last month to leave the Dallas Mavericks for the final year of his deal, leaving $8.7 million on the table to explore free agency.

He averaged 18.9 points and 4.1 assists per game last season with the Mavericks. His scoring average made him the first player other than Dirk Nowitzki to lead the Mavs in scoring since 1999-2000.
