Silver alert cancelled after missing Richmond man found safely in Ohio

UPDATE: The Silver Alert was cancelled Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Provance was found safely in Ohio.

RICHMOND, Ind. (July 2, 2015) – State police have issued a statewide silver alert for a missing Richmond man.

The Richmond Police Department is investigating the disappearance of 70-year-old Charles W. Provance. He’s about 6’0” tall, 200 pounds with gray hair and green eyes. He has a tattoo on his right upper arm of a blue rose with the words “Mildred Elvira.”

Provance was last seen Wednesday around 3:15 p.m. He is believed to be in danger and may need medical attention.

He was last seen wearing a plaid button-up shirt, dark blue jeans, camouflage shoes and a gray hat with the letters “CPR.” He’s believed to be traveling in a 2002 maroon Dodge Ram 1500 single cab, long bed truck with Indiana plate TK853MAQ.
