RICHMOND, Ind. (July 21, 2015) – A Richmond grandmother was arrested after she attacked an officer and a teen boy with a glass lamp.

Christie Lear, 68, called police Monday at 3:15 a.m. because her 14-year-old granddaughter locked herself in her room with a 17-year-old boy.

When police arrived, Lear started hitting the boy.

Officers tried to restrain Lear, but Lear attacked an officer and the teen boy with a glass lamp.

Lear was arrested, and her teen granddaughter was taken to police headquarters where the Indiana Department of Child Services was notified.

Neither the officer or the teen boy suffered serious injuries.
