TERRELL, Texas (Aug. 10, 2015) – The couple whose joyful news went viral in a video that racked up more than 10 million views on YouTube shared some devastating news: they suffered a miscarriage.

Their original video featured husband, Sam, who surprised his wife, Nia, by surreptitiously getting a urine sample to find out she was pregnant before she knew herself.

The couple remained quiet as that video racked up millions of views online. But in a video posted on Saturday, they revealed the miscarriage. They hope sharing their pain would help other couples who’ve gone through the same thing.

“It just, bam, it just hit us like a bomb,” Nia said in the video. “And those of you who have experienced miscarriage before, I can relate now. I have felt my womb empty out. I never, ever, ever knew that women felt that way.

“I just want to say, too, that maybe there’s someone out there that’s going through this with us. The Bible says to weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn, and I am mourning with those of you who are feeling this.”
