INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 6, 2015) – An overturned semi has delayed departure traffic at the Indianapolis International Airport.

Airport officials said airport police were diverting traffic to lower level arrival areas.

Investigators said the driver of the truck thought he was still on the interstate and took the curve too fast, causing the truck to overturn. Trucks are not supposed to be in the terminal. The speed limit there is 10 mph; police estimated the truck, which was hauling toilet paper, was traveling 40-50 mph.

All lanes reopened around 1 p.m.
