WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (Aug. 23, 2015)—A gasoline tanker has crashed in the Interstate 65 detour route, forcing yet another detour for motorists heading north on I-65.

Indiana State Police say around 8 p.m. a semi tanker carrying 5,000 to 8,000 gallons of fuel overturned on the US 231 ramp to I-65.

No one was injured, but a large amount of fuel has spilled onto the roadway.

White County fire personnel are on the scene along with crews from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

There is no time estimate as to when the crash scene might be cleared up.

State police advise motorists heading north through the I-65 detour will now take US 231 to State Road 18  and go east to get back onto Interstate 65 northbound.

Troopers added that it will not lengthen the previous detour, just add an extra turn.
