President and CEO of IU Health to step down after 13 years

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 1, 2015) – The president and CEO of IU Health will step down after 13 years on the job.

Dan Evans made the announcement Tuesday. He’ll stay with the company as CEO until May 1, 2016. Dennis M. Murphy, currently executive vice president and chief operating officer, will be promoted to president. He’ll assume CEO duties when Evans departs.

Murphy will continue to serve as COO until IU Health names a successor.

Under Evans’ tenure, IU Health grew from three hospitals in downtown Indianapolis to a network of nearly 20 hospitals and health centers.
