INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 16, 2015)— Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a death on the east side Wednesday.

Police responded to the 5800 block of Bolton Court just before 10 a.m. Once officers arrived to the scene, it was determined HAZMAT crews were needed.

IMPD officials said they received a tip about a body inside an apartment. After a warrant was obtained, officers gained entry and found a body. They said baking soda and calcium hydroxide, commonly referred to as lime or quicklime, was found all over the scene.

IMPD said they do suspect foul play and are looking for a person of interest.
