INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 17, 2015) – Thursday kicks off four busy days of cultural events in the Indianapolis area.

Guests are invited to attend and experience a different culture.

One event that starts Thursday is the annual Indy Irish Fest at Military Park.

Also, Oktoberfest is Friday on Monument Circle.

Both are known for food, beer and live music!

Organizers say one main component of these events is to give back as well.

“A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Indiana War Memorial Foundation,” said AJ Ploughe, Oktoberfest organizer. “Next to Washington, DC, we have the largest proportion of memorials in the United States, so it’s nice to be able to give back.”

St. George Fest in Fishers starts Friday as well. This was formerly known as Middle Eastern Festival and celebrates local roots from the Holy Land.

Lastly, Fiesta Indianapolis is Saturday at the American Legion Mall.
