Terre Haute man, 70, arrested for OWI after registering .302 BAC

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (Oct. 22, 2015)– State police arrested a man after a report of a possible drunk driver on Hunt Street near U.S. 40.

Police say Ross E. Davis, 70, of Terre Haute, was driving erratically and displayed classic signs of intoxication. Alcohol containers were found in the vehicle.

Davis was taken to Union Hospital where a blood test showed his blood alcohol content at .302, nearly four times the legal limit. Davis was arrested and taken to the Vigo County Jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated.

He also received a violation for an open alcohol container.
