UPDATE: Police search for suspect after several people injured in shooting at Washington Square Mall

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 28, 2015)-- Police said several people were shot at Washington Square Mall Wednesday evening.

Police  reported three people were injured in the shooting, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. inside a common area in the mall just outside of Target. Thursday morning, police confirmed a fourth person was injured when she fell while running away from the scene.

According to an official on the scene, a man was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Another man and a woman were taken to Eskenazi Health with non life-threatening injuries. All three victims were eventually upgraded to stable condition, police said.

Police say the suspect, still at large, knew one of the victims. The suspect had an altercation with that victim before shots were fired. The other two victims may have been innocent bystanders.

All three of the victims were young adults. Police identified them as Aaron Carr, 26, Myliah Esco, 20 and Robert Kennedy, 25. Carr is still in the hospital and the other two victims have been released.

Police said there were no signs of gang-related activity.
