Police identify man killed after parking lot assault, say victim suffered head trauma

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 4, 2015) – A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found severely injured in a downtown Indianapolis parking lot early Wednesday morning.

This happened around 4:30 a.m. in a parking lot at 9th Street and Delaware in downtown Indianapolis. Indianapolis Metropolitan police were called to the scene of a reported assault. They found a man, later identified as Tito McCombs, 62, suffering from head trauma. He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he later died. Police weren't saying how he was injured.

One witness reported hearing an argument outside the apartment building. Homicide detectives are investigating and said an autopsy was pending.
