One dead in shooting on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 4, 2015) — A man is dead after a shooting Wednesday night on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Officers responded to the 2300 block of Fox Hill Court around 10:40 p.m. after police received several reports of shots fired.

Police say they found a pick-up truck that had crashed nearby.

Inside the vehicle, officers say they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police reports, the victim was a 29-year-old man.

Homicide detectives were on the scene assisting in the investigation, but no suspect information has been released.
