NFL suspends Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib for eye poke in Colts game

(Nov. 9, 2015)– The NFL suspended Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib Monday after an eye poking incident against the Colts Sunday.

According to NFL.com, the league notified Talib that he faces a one-game suspension. Talib will reportedly appeal the suspension.

Colts tight end Dwayne Allen was poked in the eye and Talib was called for a personal foul. The Colts got a first down and were able to run the clock out.

Neither team has issued a statement yet on the reported suspension.

Update:  The NFL has thrown out Talib’s appeal and he’ll serve his one game suspension Sunday against the Chiefs.
