ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Nov. 10, 2015) – Their chemistry seemed instant—and there was a reason for that.

They’d met before years ago in preschool.

According to ABC Action News, Justin Pounders lost his fiancée in 2012 and struggled to move on after her murder. His mother continued to encourage him to find love again.

Pounders eventually went on the dating website Match.com, where he connected with Amy Giberson. He was immediately drawn to her.

“I saw her photo and for whatever reason, was instantly drawn to her,” Pounders told People magazine. “She just had this great energy, you could tell. I can’t explain it, but I knew I had to get to know this girl.”

The two called each other and planned a date. When they met for the “first” time and hugged, something seemed familiar. As it turns out, they’d met in preschool 30 years ago.

About a month ago, Giberson found an old photo of the two of them and posted it on Instagram:

“When he told me he liked the name Amy because he had a crush on a little girl in preschool named, Amy, I never thought it was actually me until we found out we went to the same preschool at the same time. Now, to see this pic…it just blows my mind to see we were glued to each other even during our playground days.

Pounders said he believes his former fiancée is his guardian angel, watching over him and making sure he reconnected with Giberson.

"You don't find love, it finds you. It's got a little bit to do with destiny, fate and what's written in the stars"💗🌠 My mind is completely blown after finally seeing a picture of us from preschool and we're sitting right next to each other!!!! We spent the majority of our lives in the same town, knew the same friends, went to the same events on the same nights & never crossed paths again until we were 32. When he told me he liked the name Amy because he had a crush on a little girl in preschool named, Amy, I never thought it was actually me until we found out we went to the same preschool at the same time. Now, to see this pic…it just blows my mind to see we were glued to each other even during our playground days. The happiness, love & laughter this man brings my life everyday is overwhelming and I couldn't be more blessed to call him mine. I love you, baby!!!! 😍😘💗 #preschoolsweethearts #didyoueverwonderaboutme #fate
