Nine people killed when plane crashed into Akron apartment building

AKRON, OH (November 10, 2015) – Nine people were killed when their plane crashed into an apartment building on Akron’s southeast side.

According to FOX8, the plane was a Hawker H25 small jet on approach to Akron Fulton Airport when it clipped some power lines and crashed into the building.

Authorities told FOX8 they found nine bodies in the wreckage. All of the people killed were on the plane. No one on the ground or in the building was injured.

FAA investigators are on their way to the crash site, and the National Transportation Safety Board is in charge of the investigation.

1600 people in the city of Akron are currently without power due to the crash.
