Police investigate fatal shooting on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS (November 10, 2015) – One man is dead and one is on the run after a shooting on the city’s east side early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired at a residence in the 3100 block of East Washington St. just after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived on scene, they found a man had been shot. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he died a short time later.

Police say a fight broke out at some sort of gathering. They believe one group of people left, but that the suspect returned with a gun.

Officers say the suspect took off on foot after the shooting. Police are canvassing the area trying to locate him.
