(November 25, 2015) – A pizza shop in Ohio is getting national attention after they posted a sign in their window that reads: “We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, we will be having dinner around 2 p.m. with our family, employees, and friends. If you are hungry, or don’t have any money, please come in. We will welcome you and make sure you get plenty to eat.”

The pizza shop, Bada Bing! Pizzeria posted a picture of the sign on their Facebook page and they’ve gotten over 6,000 shares in the past day!

Owner Jason Hague told ABC22 in Springfield: “If we’re able to feed even one hungry person, I’m fine with that. But if it turns out to be something more monumental, we’ll think about doing something next year for sure.”

Hague says a few hours after he posted the sign, volunteers and vendors reached out to him asking to help.

“I’m really beside myself. I’ve actually been very humbled,” Hague said.
