INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 29, 2015)--Two women are dead following a shooting at a halfway house Saturday night.

The circumstances surround the shooting are still cloudy. Metro police say around 10:30 Saturday night they found two, 34-year-old females dead at that halfway house in the 4100 block of East New York Street. That's on the city's east side.

As of now, their identity has not been released. Police say earlier in the day on Saturday they made a run for a disturbance at that same location. They're not sure yet if that disturbance is connected to this double shooting.

"There are more than 10 police cars, more than 10 officers now out of service because of this particular incident," said Officer Christopher Wilburn, IMPD. "When you have a high ranking member of the Marion County Prosecutor's office here that tells you the degree of which we are operating."

Police say they did interview several people that were at the halfway house at the time of the shooting. If you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.
