INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 3, 2015) – The NFL’s oldest player still is showing his younger brethren how it’s done.

Indianapolis Colts placekicker Adam Vinatieri, 42 and in his 20th season, has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month on the strength of a near-perfect November.

Vinatieri converted all 11 of his field-goal attempts last month, including a 43-yarder with less than a minute remaining that lifted the Colts to a 24-21 win over the Atlanta Falcons and a 44-yarder in the fourth quarter that sealed a 27-24 victory over the Denver Broncos.

In last week’s 25-12 win over Tampa Bay, he knocked down 49-, 27-, 26- and 44-yard attempts. Since opening the season with two misses, Vinatieri has converted 16 straight.

Vinatieri also converted 9-of-10 PATS to finish the month with 42 points, the fourth-highest total in the league for November.
