UPDATE: Dec. 8: Cola has been found and returned to her family. We're working to find out more on the circumstances of the return and if any arrests have been made.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 7, 2015) – An Indianapolis woman and her granddaughter are desperately trying to find their puppy after it was stolen in a home burglary last week.

Cynthia Rudolph says it’s been a rough few months for her family. Rudolph’s daughter passed away, leaving her granddaughter without a mother. Her granddaughter received a puppy as a gift to help comfort her, and Rudolph says the dog, named Cola, has brought so much joy to their home.

But last week, tragedy struck their family again. Someone burglarized their home and stole the puppy. "I can’t hardly sleep. I’m just so worried about that dog," said Rudolph.

Additionally, the burglars stole a jewelry box, clothes, designer glasses, a tablet, a camcorder, and a revolver from their home.

Cola is microchipped, so if it is taken to an animal shelter, they will be able to track down Rudolph as the owner.

If you have any information on this burglary or if you’ve seen Cola, please call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
