INDIANAPOLIS,Ind. (December 13, 2015)–Mayor-Elect Joe Hogsett is close to making a number of leadership announcements as he prepares to take office on January 1, 2016.

Fox 59 News has learned that an announcement will likely come in the early to mid-part of this week.

Among those being considered for a Deputy Mayor position is Light of the World senior pastor, Dr. David Hampton.

Hogsett attended Sunday morning worship as Dr. Hampton talked with his church family about his new role with the Hogsett administration.

The Mayor-Elect says he is continuing to search for the best possible talent to round out his cabinet.

Throughout his campaign for mayor, Hogsett talked about tackling inefficiencies in city government.

With that in mind, Hogsett says he will seek out potential people to fill the deputy mayor positions that will work toward the “greatest efficiencies for our citizens.”

In the past week, Hogsett announced his plan to appoint the city’s former Public Safety Director, Troy Riggs, as chief of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
