INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 5, 2016)— After nearly 25 years, news anchor Bob Donaldson is saying goodbye to FOX59 News.

Bob, who joined the FOX59 family in 1991, was instrumental in the station’s success and in the launch of its award-winning newscast, FOX59 News at 10.

In addition to anchoring the 10 p.m. newscast, he has also helped launch each of the station’s early evening newscasts, FOX59 News First at Four, FOX59 News Live at Five, FOX59 News at Six, as well as FOX59 News at Seven.

“It’s been the thrill of a lifetime watching FOX59 News grow from a single half hour newscast to become one of the leading TV news organizations in the country,” said Donaldson.

After graduating from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Bob started his career in Beaumont, Texas. Prior to working in Indianapolis, Bob anchored and reported in Oklahoma City, Salt Lake City and Little Rock.

Bob will remain in Indianapolis, and you can still watch the award-winning anchor on CBS4Indy, as he co-anchors the station’s 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts with Debby Knox.

“Being part of the launch of the new CBS4 provides just another opportunity to duplicate the success we all achieved at FOX59. I couldn’t be happier to make the switch and take on a new challenge,” said Donaldson.

Dan Spehler will now join Fanchon Stinger at the anchor desk on FOX59 News at 10. In addition to the 10 p.m. hour, Dan and Fanchon anchor the 5, 6, and 7 p.m. newscasts on FOX59.

“Dan and I have worked closely together over the years,” said Donaldson. “Central Indiana is fortunate to have a journalist with his talent and credibility to take over the 10 p.m. franchise with Fanchon.”
