NEW YORK (January 12, 2016) — New York City police say a fifth teen is in custody in the suspected gang rape of an 18-year-old woman at a Brooklyn playground.

The 17-year-old was being questioned by detectives Tuesday afternoon.

Four other teens have already been arrested in the case. They are being held as adults on charges of rape, forcible compulsion, criminal sex act and sexual abuse.

Police identified the suspects as 14-year-old Denzel Murray, 15-year-olds Shaquell Cooper and Ethan Phillip, and 17-year-old Onandi Brown. The fifth has not been identified.

The four are awaiting arraignment. It wasn’t immediately clear if they had lawyers who could comment on the charges.

Police say the teens approached the woman and her father Thursday and one pulled out a handgun and ordered the father to leave before attacking her.
