Norfolk, VA (January 21, 2016 – WTKR) – Hundreds of Barbie Dolls now line the surfaces of Gianni Graham’s home.

Two weeks ago, Graham set a goal to collect 1,000 Barbie Dolls for 1,000 girls in homeless shelters and foster homes all across Hampton Roads. At the time, she had collected five goals, now she has more than 500.

“It has been shocking,” Graham said. “But I am happy at the same time.”

Originally Graham thought it would take her two months to collect all the dolls, now she thinks she will have them in a few weeks.

“I have had a lot of help reaching my goal.”

Some of the help she has received came after actor, Ashton Kutcher posted a Facebook status about her goal.

“I didn’t know it was going to get that far. I didn’t even know that he was going to see it,” she explained.

Most of the help has been from people donating Barbies at one of the many drop-off points or by shipping the dolls through the website Graham has created.

While she has made a lot of progress, Graham still needs help finishing her goal. If you would like to help her help 1,000 girls in Hampton Roads, you can visit her websiteFacebook page, or Instagram page.
